Yohana Fessahazion
Yohana Fessahazion is an Eritrean-Canadian contemporary artist and designer based in Montreal. Her work is a vivid reflection of her heritage and vision, drawing inspiration from Black identity, Eritrean culture, and Afrofuturism. Through bold colors and dynamic compositions, she explores themes of resilience, cultural pride, and shared humanity. Each piece invites viewers on a journey of self-discovery and connection, celebrating creativity as a bridge between cultures.
Beyond her artistic practice, Yohana merges art, design, and technology to create meaningful experiences. As a UX designer, she crafts intuitive digital interactions, while her passion for storytelling brings compelling visual narratives to life across various mediums.
Deeply involved in her community, Yohana is an active member of the Eritrean Youth Program and the Afrodescendant Leadership Alliance. She is dedicated to fostering empowerment, mentorship, and cultural celebration through initiatives that support academic and professional growth.
